Introducing Mooroolbark Chiropractors

Introducing Mooroolbark Chiropractor Dr. Nicole Moore

"I didn't experience a miracle, but I've seen them," remarks Dr. Nicole Moore.

"From the time I was 7 years old I'd wanted to help people and decided to become a medical doctor," remembers Dr. Moore. "It was in my later years of high school that my mother who had been a long time migraine sufferer went to see a Chiropractor. He was able to help her through natural means. It was incredible," continues Dr. Moore. "It then meant I had a really tough decision whether to give up my dream of being a medical doctor or to become a doctor of Chiropractic. Obviously I chose to become a Chiropractor and it is a decision that I have never once regretted! I have seen so many miracles over the years. Our bodies have the ability to heal themselves and the role of a chiropractor is to remove interference to that healing process."

Nicole studied Chiropractic at RMIT in Melbourne. During her five years at RMIT, courses included a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the RMIT Public Clinic. After graduating in 1989, Nicole commenced practice in Werribee. In 1993 Nicole took a break from practice to start her family. Since then she has practiced in Oakleigh and Viewbank, and was also employed by RMIT to teach chiropractic students in the Public Clinic.

Nicole is now in practice in Mooroolbark and plans to be here for good. She has lived in the area for 14 years and enjoys being of service to the local community.

Our primary goal within the practice is to educate and adjust as many families as possible to optimal health through natural Chiropractic care.

"I love helping my patients to really understand how wonderful and miraculous their bodies are. I love empowering them to be able to make more informed health decisions and I love seeing the difference chiropractic care can make in their lives," says Nicole.

Optimal Wellness Chiropractic is a family practice and it's fun! We encourage you to look after the health of your entire family from new babies to the elderly and we use modern gentle techniques that are suitable for all. We do specialise in "Family Wellness." There is nothing more satisfying than adjusting families and seeing the dramatic changes that take place in their health."

"Outside of Chiropractic I'm very busy with my family and sporting commitments. I'm happily married to Patrick and we have two active boys. Weekends see us at soccer, tennis, cricket and athletics! I love playing tennis myself and on Thursdays you'll find me having lots of fun with a great bunch of women on the tennis court. I also run several days a week and do the occasional 'fun run'. If I ever have any spare time you'll find my nose in a book!"

"Due to our busy lifestyles and exercising, everyone in the family gets checked Chiropractically every week. We don't always need to be adjusted, but we know that keeping our nervous systems free of interference helps us to be at our full potential. We also eat well and take vitamins regularly."

"Enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health."

Dr. Nicole Asks some important questions of interest to Mooroolbark residents - Chiropractor Mooroolbark Dr. Nicole Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Mooroolbark chiropractic practice.
